Hackensack NJ, one person was killed and another injured in a Saturday early evening shooting in Hackensack, officials said. According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office the two men were shot near Essex and Lehigh streets at around 5 p.m. Both were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center where one was pronounced dead. The other victim had non-life threatening injuries.
So far few details were released Saturday night but a statement by the prosecutor’s office said it appears to be an “isolated incident.” The victims were not identified and no arrests were announced.
