Englewood NJ, City of Englewood Fire Fighters started before day on December 18th major flooding in Bergen County when a downed power line started a 2nd Alarm house fire on Booth Avenue.
Like most of Bergen Fire Companies ,City of Englewood Fire Companies stayed busy throughout the day with over a dozen calls for service ranging from wires down, to gas leaks and fire alarms.
The day ended when we were called as part of a Mid-Bergen Mutual Aid Task force to New Milford to aid in the evacuation of Columbia Avenue. Our firefighters assisted several residents out of their flooded homes.
