Glen Rock NJ, law enforcement officials successfully recovered a car stolen from Glen Rock last month before it could be shipped overseas.

On July 11, at approximately 8:39 a.m., Homeland Security Investigations and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department located an Audi that had been stolen from a Hillman Avenue home on June 7. The Glen Rock police reported the recovery on Monday.

“The vehicle was one of many stolen vehicles discovered inside a shipping container awaiting shipment overseas,” stated the Glen Rock police.

In recent years, thieves have frequently attempted to ship stolen cars from the Port of Newark to West African countries such as Ghana and Monrovia. This incident is part of a broader trend of stolen vehicles being intercepted before they can leave the country.

The recovered Audi had been left unlocked with the key fob inside, according to Glen Rock police. This serves as a stark reminder of the importance of securing vehicles to prevent theft.

  2. Guess what it doesn’t even matter, they have devices that can get into any vehicle. If they want it, they are going to take it the more electronics they put in the car. It’s actually easier to get into it. There’s so many scanning devices. it’s ridiculous. They can scan, any transmitting device that’s out there. Garage doors, alarms, key fobs. Yes, you can lock your door. Take your key fob and put inside your house, but like I said some of these devices, they have our social strong they can penetrate right through your house. The only thing we can all do was just try to slow them down that’s about it
