Englewood Cliffs NJ, on 12/04/2023 at approximately 2:25 p.m., the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department contacted Englewood Cliffs Police Department headquarters requesting assistance in apprehending a suspect who fled from their officers on foot. Various witnesses reported sightings of the suspect in the area of Floyd Street and Hollywood Avenue.
Officers from this Department, as well as Englewood, Tenafly, and Palisades Interstate Parkway converged on the area and quickly established a perimeter. As a precautionary measure, the North Cliff School enacted their protocols to shelter in place. The suspect was apprehended moments later without incident and turned over to the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police.
The Englewood Cliffs Police Department extends its gratitude to all agencies who assisted in the expeditious resolution of this matter.
