T’ai Chi Chih Classes to Begin September 30
Evening Class at Old Paramus Church
If you have been considering doing something for your physical and spiritual well-being, then this course is designed for you. T’ai Chi Chih is a series of gentle movements. The benefits are many. Newcomers are welcome. No prior experience of T’ai or T’ai Chi Chih is necessary.
T’ai Chi Chih offers a focus of energy and an island of calm in our very busy lives. It increases balance, may lower blood pressure and affords a sense of tranquility that decreases our stress response. A new series of classes is beginning at Old Paramus Reformed Church and will meet each Monday evening from 7-8 p.m. The series starts on Sept. 30, running for 8 sessions, through Nov. 18.
The instructor, Bill Moore, is locally known for his classes in the Glen Rock Community School and at the Valley Health Center, among others. He is a certified T’ai Chi Chih instructor. The cost of this series is nominal, $40 for the entire course, payable in advance. The location for the classes, the education building of Old Paramus Reformed Church, 660 East Glen Avenue, Ridgewood, is air conditioned when necessary. Parking is plentiful. To register, call the church office, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (201) 444-5933.
