Teaneck Fitness Trainer Charged With Sexual Assualt

Teaneck NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of AUGUST SAMEK (DOB: 04/16/1973; fitness trainer; married) of 208 Colonial Court, Teaneck, NJ on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault and Endangering The Welfare Of A Child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Teaneck Police Department under the direction of Chief Glenn O’Reilly.

On Sunday, August 11, 2019, the Teaneck Police Department received information that a juvenile had just been sexually assaulted by AUGUST SAMEK in Teaneck, NJ. As a result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Teaneck Police Department, AUGUST SAMEK was arrested on Monday, August 12, 2019 and charged with one count of Aggravated Sexual Assault in violation of N.J.S.A.
2C:14-2A, a 1st degree crime and one count of Endangering The Welfare Of A Child in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4A, a 2nd degree crime. AUGUST SAMEK is currently lodged in the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and would like to thank the Teaneck Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
