Ridgewood NJ, a sign denoting two (2) North Broad Street diagonal parking spaces as “Reserved Parking” was erected prior to Village Council members approving the concept, and well before the official adoption of an ordinance that would permit enforcement via issuance of summonses to violators. The two (2) spaces are located adjacent to a Village owned building that once housed a taxi company.
In December, Village Council members approved leasing office space in the former taxi stand property to Tri- Plex Industries, Inc., a general contractor based in South Amboy. Monthly rental was set at $501 or $6,012 annually for the first two (2) years. Subsequent to signing the lease, Tri-Plex requested the addition of two (2) reserved parking spaces and a designated loading dock area. Village Council members began deliberating this request publicly during their April 3rd Work Session, but were unable to reach agreement at that time. Additional information was to be provided publicly by Village Engineer Christopher Rutishauser during an April 24th Work Session.
Why the sign was erected prior to Village Council approval or ordinance adoption remains a mystery at this time. In response to an email from a resident who questioned the sign’s legitimacy, Village Manager Keith Kazmark indicated that the sign would be covered on Monday, April 8th, and further deliberations by the Village Council would take place in a timely manner during a closed (not open to the public) session.
Footnote: 24/7/365 “Reserved Parking” spaces in the nearby Hudson Street Garage cost $1725 annually and are pro-rated on a monthly basis. And, to the best of our knowledge, Village of Ridgewood provided “Reserved Parking for Tenant” designated spaces are limited to employees of NJ Transit and Social Services within the train station’s main parking lot.

My question would be, will this be enforceable 24/7. Seems like this is a 9-5 business and it would really be a shame to lose 2 spots in the evenings and weekends with some very busy restaurants in that area.
And what is going on with the old taxi stand. The place is a mess. Inside is a huge pile of rubbish. Why is this taking so long to clean up. What an embarrassing situation. Who’s in charge. This is going on for years.it could of bin repaired and fixed up and rented out.

What would prevent this company from subleasing the spaces during times when they don’t plan to use them?
My question would be who in the village is friends with this guy or owes him a big favor. Kazmark? Vagianos? Rutishauser? This deal is way too sweet and highly suspect
Clearly, another example of private deals being made! That space should not be leased out. Many people come off the train and have drivers pulling in to pick them up. That should be kept as a public space for exactly that purpose. Why are we leasing space to a builder from Perth Amboy? Are there not Other local businesses who might have wanted to know about the leasing of that space? Where was it advertised? Why was a sign not put up in the window near the space? Very troublesome to see these private signs going up. And now, no one knows where it came from ? Makes you wonder who is watching the store?

Why does this sound a repeat of what happened with HealthBarn and stacey?
Initial lease had a limited scope and then more and more and more was given to her without modifying the lease terms?
She ofcourse returned the favor by sending campaign emails to her customers for Paul Vagianos (which is not allowed per IRS rules), and then the whole channeling of 4M food donations using tax payer money!)
What is this south jersey company returning to the decision makers?

I also heard that she sleeps inside the house and parks her car nearby. That is strange but I guess she figures it is hers for the asking so why not and since she is running her ops for many hours longer than she is supposed to be doing she is taking advantage. An investigation regarding her activities and her lease should be put scrutinized to see what is really going on.
Wow I kinda thought that too. She moves her car in and out of the garage at random times. How can it be proven?

ok.. so let me get this straight – the annual parking in Garage would cost 1725 – so for two spots it would be 3450, just for parking, that’s over half of the rent they are paying!!
Sounds like the healthbarn sweet deal. Only $3400.00 a month for the house, garden, parking spots and use of 11 acres.

Nancy keeps pimping / marketing Stacey’s classes all the time and the impression is given that the revenue is shared with the village, but in rality it’s not. Village tax payers get a very small fraction, which is not even enough to cover the cost of Ridgewood Press and mailing costs… and why do they pay high dollar amounts to Ridgewood Press for this healthbarn advertising, when the same can be done much cheaper across the block in midland park?
Ridgewood pays to advertise healthbarn classes? This seems like such a scam. What can be done. Using unleased property. Destroying property with tarps all day all summer. A lie that the garden is public. The list goes on and no one cares????
Kazmark sure got hot under the collar when this came up at the meeting. I mean I wasn’t there but I watched the video and he sure was on defense.

You get out there and inspect the roads because they are filthy. Reportedly, the owner of this construction company still lives or used to live on Mountain Avenue. Still running an investigation here to determine whether he or his wife/ex-wife contributed to anybody’s election campaign. Will keep you posted.
If we have a high paid village manager that obviously loves his job because he is all over Facebook why are these screw ups happening constantly and getting caught by the public and asked to have them corrected. Shouldn’t he be on top of all this?
What is the approval process from each department? Does VM have to sign off on everything? Because Nancy Bigios is out of control and so is the engineering dept
There are just too many high paid salaries to have so many horrible mistakes happen. Start with Nancy Bigios and her favors. Get rid of her using our tax dollars for a business constantly
