Hackensack NJ, the City of Hackensack announces the hiring of Raymond Guidetti to be its new police director. Guidetti joins the Hackensack Police Department after an exceptional and extensive career in law enforcement at the international, federal, state, and local level.
“We are very pleased to have a man of Raymond’s caliber leading the men and women of the Hackensack Police Department,” said Mayor John Labrosse. “I have high expectations that his knowledge and insights will guide us into the future by enhancing accountability within the police department, improving their response times, and bolstering their relationship with the community.”
“The people of Hackensack deserve the best possible law enforcement and public safety,” said Vincent Caruso, Hackensack City Manager. “Raymond Guidetti’s experience and accomplishments speak for themselves and we are very grateful that he has accepted this position.”
Guidetti began his career with the New Jersey State Police in the early ‘90s, and was assigned to the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force to work on domestic and international terrorism investigations. While there he was notably assigned to the prosecutorial team for the Eastern District of Virginia and was responsible for investigating and testifying to the events surrounding the United Airlines Flight 93 hijacking.
Following an almost fifteen year career with the state police, Guidetti then became Deputy Director for the New Jersey Regional Operations & Intelligence Center (NJ ROIC), which serves as New Jersey’s primary focal point for information and intelligence sharing to support law enforcement, counter terrorism, and homeland security missions. In addition to overseeing capital planning and expenditures, Guidetti carried out threat and risk analysis, real time crime analysis, and directed an interstate information-sharing program between key law enforcement organizations at the local, state, and federal levels, and the private sector.
He returned to the State Police in 2014, where he was promoted to Deputy Superintendent of Investigations and spearheaded several crime suppression efforts. Upon retiring from the State Police he became the Chief Resilience Officer for Bergen County in 2018, where he provided strategic leadership, policy development, and risk management. Since then he has worked as a law enforcement consultant for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, as well as a number of different public safety software companies. He is active with the International Association of Chiefs of Police on their Counter Terrorism committee.
“I am very proud to have been selected for this important position leading a dedicated group of men and women,” said Guidetti. “The City of Hackensack is a great place to live and work, which is why I viewed this as an exciting opportunity to use what I’ve learned throughout my career in law enforcement in the service of the Hackensack Police Department and all of the City’s residents.”
That’s what Ridgewood needs a Police Director. Oh yes, someone doesn’t take knee. Someone from the outside so there’s no more dirty politics going on. Right ,
So he has zero experience running a police department.
What the hell is a Chief Resilience Officer? Answer: Political Job.
Hey bro, some times it just may work out. Maybe sometimes you need someone from the outside. Keep all the politics out of the department. At times that becomes a problem. As we seen in the past. Well anyway that’s the new thing we have many individuals throughout the village that have no business running a department . We all know that.
Yes eye’s in the sky’s . They are watching all of us.
We are wondering why.
