Yea, well there’s a reason for this and the old excuse that people have moved away etc. is not it.
sorry to say that the organizers just never took into consderation that people don’t want to spend $100
to go to a HS reunion…at a Sheraton Hotel…In Mahwah! no one wants to get “dressed up” and pretend that
their having fun at an event that has the same “clicks” in the four corners of the room. not much has changed.
and it never will. the event should have been catered at the Elks because that’s where everyone is going anyway. that’s where the fun is. its local and its cheap. whats wrong with local and cheap and draft beer ? sounds like High Scool days to me. kudos to the organizers for making the effort…but trying to compete with the Elks was a bad move.
people are going to one or the other, not both. and local and cheap wins every time.
