Washington NJ, On Wednesday, the nation suffered a catastrophic failure of security on Capitol Hill. The storming of Congress, and the evacuation of elected representatives and senators, is something we expect from war zones abroad. It is not something we should tolerate at home.
The unpreparedness of the Capitol police was disgraceful . U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund has resigned after his force’s inexcusable failure to maintain order in the capitol.
The Capitol Police certainly has enough funding to be prepared. The force has 2,300 officers and a $516 million budget to defend two square miles.
On December 31st the US Capitol Police said in a statement to USA TODAY, “While we do not discuss the means, methods, or specific resources used to carry out our protective responsibilities, the United States Capitol Police has comprehensive security plans in place and we continuously monitor and assess new and emerging threats, with the overall goal of keeping those within the Capitol Complex safe and secure,”
The political violence at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday after law enforcement officers were overrun by a mob of Trump supporters “was a total failure of security,” said Michael Morell, CBS News senior security contributor and former CIA acting director.
Defense Department officials also placed the blame for failed security and weak law enforcement response to Wednesday’s Capitol riots on law enforcement agencies in a call with reporters on Thursday, maintaining that they were in a supporting role and were responding only as asked.

Well for starters that is a very scary and unsecured thought that if regular people can infiltrate and break into To the capitol like this rioting group of Trump supporters that happened here, then what if an organized International terror group or other dangerous Mercenaries from other countries decide to attempt this, then our democracy will be in serious Danger of being taking over and all of our law makers and the sacred part of our Constitutional democracy could be seriously be in danger of ending.And yes this should require every single resource that the United States of America has to be used to make sure that everybody’s held accountable and find out where the flaws in the security breach came from and correct them for the sake of our security and democracy existence, so I pray that every American which I believe is the majority of Americans that Care and are concerned the same way that I am, that we stand together and put our differences aside and unite against any of these groups trying to divide us because the rest of the world is watching and I pray that God continues to keep us all safe and blessed us and God bless the United States of America.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏🙏

Frank, Occam’s razor will tell you either the Capitol Police did not ask for support from the Federal government, or asked and did not receive it. There’s a 50/50 shot that this was willful on either the Capitol Police or the Federal Government, and further, that half of the people in this country are OK with that. When dumbass politicians say that “this is not America,” they are living in a different country.

Whatever the reason, and whomever the perpetrators were, the capitol PD was not ready. The cause of the breech at the capitol needs to be investigated and corrected. The safety of all our representatives and the future of our nation depends on their security. There is no excuse, the people who committing the violence need to be found and prosecuted. But just as nothing excuses the violence, nothing excuses the blatant disregard by our representatives not acting on the peoples concerns of possible corruption and fraud in our elections. A large portion of our nations citizens are frustrated! The legal avenues normally open to discover the presence of fraud and corruption have all been blocked! People want answers not dismissal! I for one at this point don’t give a hoot who won the election, but I do care very strongly that it was won fairly. All allegation of fraud need to be investigated and no mater where it leads, when fraud is found, prosecuted to the maximum extent possible.
To the Left, there was zero fraud when Donald Trump loses and the Octogenarian wins.
If Donald Trump had won, there would have been screams of fraud and every news organization would be screaming for an investigation.
