Ridgewood NJ, The New Jersey Outdoor Alliance on Monday released a statement calling on the Murphy Administration to reverse his policy and reopen state lands to hunters ahead of the approaching December bear hunting season segment.

“Governor Murphy and his AG’s office can run from the science all they like, but they can’t hide from the truth – the bear hunt is a humane, legal, ethical and most importantly effective means of controlling our exploding bear population.” said NJOA spokesman Cody McLaughlin, “It’s time for Governor Murphy to stop the games and cheap legal parlor tricks that cost real taxpayer money to appease extremist groups with a costly and ultimately doomed-to-fail suit defending his indefensible bear hunt policy.”

In the summer of 2018, Governor Murphy arbitrarily and capriciously restricted bear hunters in the state from pursuing a conservation hunt recommended by the best available science to control the state’s exploding. A coalition of sportsmen’s groups including the New Jersey Outdoor AllianceSportsmen’s Alliance, and Safari Club International brought a lawsuit against the Governor decrying the decision. A decision is currently pending.

About the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance: New Jersey Outdoor Alliance’s mission is “preservation through conservation.” NJOA serves as a grassroots coalition of outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen dedicated to the conservation of natural resources and environmental stewardship that champions the intrinsic value of fishing, hunting and trapping, among opinion leaders, policy makers, and the public at-large. 1. very interesting. There is no global warming science but there is science that shooting and trapping bears is humane. Oh yeah.

There is also “science” that says develop all open space so that bears and wildlife have no place to live no habitat; the best way to deal with wildlife is to kill it and that goes for all open space, develop it.

My advice to bear hunters and open space haters is to read Albert Schweitzer. “Out of My Life and Thought” and other books. I bet hunters don’t even know who Albert Schweitzer is.

I bet that bear hunters don’t read , ha ha ha. Except gun manuals. I want gun control like they have in Scandanavia; no guns allowed; very few hunters.
