Lincoln Park NJ, The New Jersey State Police have arrested Jimmy Correa, 40, of Lincoln Park, N.J. who was wanted for drug distribution and weapons possession charges in connection with a drug trafficking investigation that resulted in the seizure of drugs and gun from a storage facility in Fair Lawn Borough, N.J.
On Thursday, August 30, detectives from the New Jersey State Police Trafficking Central and North Units arrested Wellingon Moya, 44, of New York, N.Y and Douglas Watson, 41, of Hawthorne, N.J. for possession of heroin and cocaine during a car stop outside of the storage unit. Troopers later seized 337 bricks of heroin, a .22 caliber handgun, a kilo press, and additional drug paraphernalia within the storage facility registered to Watson.
Further investigation led detectives to identify Correa as a co-owner of the storage facility. On Monday, September 17, members of the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit along with members of the Lincoln Park Police Department located Correa at his residence. He was arrested without incident.
Jimmy Correa was charged with the following:
•First degree maintain a CDS production facility
•First degree conspiracy to distribute CDS
•First Degree possession of CDS
•Second degree weapon possession
•Second degree certain person not to possess a weapon
•Third degree CDS possession
He was lodged at Bergen County Jail pending a bail detention hearing.
The case will be prosecuted by the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General.
Charges are mere accusations and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
