Hillsdale NJ, The Pascack Valley Regional High School District voted 6-1 to pass a policy they say is designed to protect transgender students’ rights. The district said the policy is needed to comply with anti-discrimination laws.

The policy allows transgender students to use restrooms and locker rooms based on their gender identity. Hummm what could possible go wrong with that ?

According to NBCNEWYORK The policy follows several other New Jersey school districts that have passed similar measures. But one school board member hinted the debate is far from over, saying he expects lawsuits to be filed against the district.

The meeting was the second time the proposal has been put up for a vote. The school board tabled the issue in February after parents and residents rightly voiced concerns.

  1. This commenter’s high school-aged child reports that he/she is stunned and disgusted at this flagrant act of moral exhibitionism on the part of the Pascack Valley school district. There is hope yet for the future of this country.

    1. never thought the act of going to the bathroom was an “flagrant act of moral exhibitionism” lol

  2. Really?
    What about MY rights?
What about MY right to go into the WOMANS bathroom and expecting MY rights to be protected and I find a freak with geitals pretending to be a woman? How’s that work? Instead of getting this freak the psychological help they need you give them the keys to all the bathrooms? How do I explain this to my 6 year old?

  3. Serious question – does anyone know the “test” of gender identity. Is it possible one day the person identities as male and the next day as female?? Or does the person simply have to identify with the gender of whichever bathroom is closest?? Similar to 5:54, my child does not agree with this decision.

  4. What’s the big deal. You go to the toilet, the door is closed. I think there are bathrooms for men and women in some countries, possibly even in the U.S.

  5. Damn 0.0001-percenters always getting their way at the expense of the 99.9999%

  6. I’m holding it in for the rest of my life.

  7. Why the outrage? I have been going into bathrooms for years and I have never seen anyone else’s genitals while I’m in them, other than my own.

  8. 9:02 – so you’re ok with having your pre-teen daughter go into a bathroom where men are dropping their pants?

  9. Locker rooms. And They compete as thrie identified gender.

  10. Locker rooms. Transgender go to the locker room and compete in sports with the gender that they identify with.

There are no reliable long term studies on transgender and satisfaction with change. Transgender regret is real.

Depression and suicide are more common with transgender. Possibly society’s lack of acceptance. Is it possible that a psych disorder coexists with transgender people? Tortures souls from the start.

  11. Teens hang out in bathrooms.

  12. tortured souls

  13. The flagrant moral exhibitionism is on the part of the trustees of the Pascack Valley Board of Education voting in favor of this policy monstrosity. Stubble faced men wearing makeup sneaking into women’s bathrooms has been happening for decades. There has never been a real need to validate this behavior.

  14. he looks hot.

  15. If it walks like a duck…not complicated.

  16. One question for the group here: what bathroom should an “intersex” individual use?
Intersex refers to someone with ambiguous gender for genetic reasons, also known as a hermaphrodite (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersex). Think XXY chromosomal combinations, rather than the typical XY (male) or XX (female). There are lots of genetic variations that can lead to complicated gender presentation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XY_sex-determination_system#Humans) or even gender presentation that is opposite of genetics (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Androgen_insensitivity_syndrome).
Thinking through bathroom and locker room accommodations for intersex individuals may reveal answers for accommodations for transgender individuals.

  17. Use the bathroom that would cause the least public disruption and move on with your life, 5:54! For heaven’s sake don’t make an issue about something so inconsequential to basically everybody! Unless of course you are trying to use Alinsky-style tactics to destroy American society (a’la Obama’s “fundamental transformation”) and this Transgender Bathroom dispute is being cynically used as a partial means to that end. In that case go right ahead, the noble end justifies the means.
