Ridgewood NJ, despite the current council majorities efforts to clear cut over 500 trees at the Schedler property to install a plastic artificial turf ball field and perhaps to ease the conscious of the council majority and many Village residents , the Village will move ahead with an Adapt-a-sapling-program in October.
The Village Shade Tree Commission is looking for residents to “adopt” a sapling and care for it on their public right of way area.

This program is starting in area D (Orchard School District) and residents are invited to “adopt” a sapling on their public right of way area.
Tree saplings will be 4-5 feet and are available to those who preregister and commit to watering and maintaining them by September 15.
