Ridgewood NJ, saying the Summer is here and there is no better time to enjoy all the Village has to offer than these next few weeks . Mayor Paul Vagianos offered a big shout out to Nancy Bigos, Director of Parks and Recreation and her staff, who have worked hard to ensure that Graydon Pool, one of Ridgewood’s best amenities, is fully staffed with lifeguards for the first time since the pandemic. We’re one of the only communities that still has a natural-fed pool, one that helps create fond summer memories for so many families.
The Mayor also thanked all of the volunteers and municipal employees who helped make our Fourth of July events a tremendous success. People from all over the area come to Ridgewood to enjoy the parade, stick around for lunch and then head to the field for performances and the fireworks.
The Mayor also remined everyone that the Pedestrian Plaza is back in full swing with shopping, dining and entertainment lining East Ridgewood Ave. on Saturdays. Come down in the morning for free fitness programs led by local businesses. Grab a cup of coffee or meet some friends for brunch. In the afternoon, the day continues with rides and activities for children. Enjoy dinner on the plaza before heading to Van Neste Square for musical performances every evening. There’s something for everyone on the Pedestrian Plaza, so come on out and play in the street.
