Allendale NJ, The Unbridled Heroes Project has officially gotten our first Wild Mustang!! We are a non-profit in Allendale, NJ!!! www.unbridledheroes.org

Run by Amy and Mark Steppe, both military veterans, in conjunction with CZ Mustangs, a 501c3 non-profit mustang training and rescue facility, Unbridled Heroes Project introduces horses to veterans in need of healing.

From our Allendale, NJ facility, our Heroes will be able to care for and connect with horses, some of which are previously wild mustangs, magnificent animals who once roamed free in the West. We will also have some severely abused and neglected horses that we have saved from the slaughter pipeline.

Mustangs also have stories to tell: from the days of living free and wild to having been captured, kept in long-term holding pens, and eventually trained. Some, like our mascot Hope (seen in photo above), were trained and adopted before being sold, resold, abandoned, beaten, starved…They, too, were broken in spirit as well as physically.

Together, our American Heroes and our American Mustangs, both icons to this great country can find solace in one another.

We will also be doing a supply drive .We need cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, anything really!!!!. Any money donations will go directly to our rescues, hay, farrier, dental, grain and so much more!!! Thank you for your help and support!!!!!

  2. Hi there Amy and Mark,
My sister told me about your new venture, congratulations. How can I learn more and how can I contribute?
I can’t tell you how happy I am for you both. The smile on Mark’s face in that one picture is priceless.
God bless you both and keep up the wonderful work.
