The Valley Hospital’s Consumer Health Information Service is here to help you!
August 22, 2013

Ridgewood NJ,  The Valley Hospital’s Consumer Health Information Service can help you access important healthcare literature when you need it.  All you need to do is put in a request – by phone, via email, or in person in the Medical Library – and the Library’s trained staff completes a comprehensive literature search, selects and copies all pertinent materials and sends the packet of information to the person who has made the request.  The service is both confidential and free of charge.

Although it is easy to use Google to search for medical information, how can you be sure that the information you receive is correct?  How do you know if the web site you are on is reputable and the information is correct?  Our Medical Library staff are expert researchers who will provide you with medically accurate information from trustworthy sources.

“By providing the public with up-to-date, comprehensive information about conditions and associated treatment options, we help people be better informed and prepared to make decisions about their healthcare,” said Claudia Allocco, M.L.S., Director of Library Services.  “Let us do the work for you to relieve your anxiety and stress at a time that may be very vulnerable.”

The Valley Hospital’s Consumer Health Information Service can be reached by calling 201-447-8285, by faxing 201-447-8602 or by emailing callocc@valleyhealth.com.

You are welcome to visit the Medical Library, which is located in the hospital’s Phillips Building, and is open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  1. Great! I have a question. Why don’t you move away and let us alone?

  2. Why not keep you idiotic comments to your self.
