the Staff of the Ridgewood
Ridgewood NJ, in November the Ridgewood blog reported that Christopher Rutishauser Village Engineer must have had his share of troubles parking in the Village Hall parking lot . So in order to keep his special spot available an over night sign change was needed and there we go special parking for motorcycles, even closer to the Village hall the handicapped spaces . ( https://theridgewoodblog.net/village-engineer-gets-preferential-treatment-with-parking-at-village-hall/ )
The Ridgewood blog is happy to report that public pressure to restore parking at the Village Hall has worked . The motorcycle spaces have been removed .
It’s sad that the right thing was done only after residents complained and spoke out against preferential treatment. Now the question remains, how much did this cost taxpayers, who authorized this and will there be consequences for any wrong doing?
the Village engineer
Rootenhauser will have to park like all the peons.
The sign will be back after May elections.
I don’t see what the problem is, I feel that all parking lots should have a space or two depending on the size for motorcycles. It definitely makes Safer environment.
Some people are very jealous because they Would love to own a motorcycle. But something just don’t have the balls.
The “preferred motorcycle parking” at Village Hall was actually authorized via Ordinance #3613, which was approved unanimously by Village Council members in October of 2017.
The key question is: How did Mr. Rutishauser manage to incorporate a motorcycles only space into the ordinance (which he authored) without anyone on the Village Council noticing it?
He’s not the only one that has a motorcycle. So there, stop your crying. Remember Mr. Chris is the deputy director off the public works .
So why we are on the village hall topics. What is going on with the project manager.
Deputy dog !!!!
How the heck does having a motorcycle parking space make things safer???? Huh???
News of the Harley Davidson plant closing must have led to the removal of these spaces… 🙂
How is it safer, well instead of haveing motorcycles scattered all through parking lots you have them contained. Just like bicycles , right .
And, don’t forget that the motorcycle parking was in some of the very few handicapped spots provided for the Village!
A revised ordinance will be introduced next month that officially wipes out the motorcycle parking at Village Hall.
I just don’t understand what is this such a big deal for. How come we don’t worry about village vehicles parked illegally in fire lanes
Ouch “ !!!
Chris this town is a joke . People are screwball,s
