Ridgewood NJ, as the Governor’s Administration persists with efforts to indoctrinate students with values and beliefs that reflect political policies, Senator Joe Pennacchio has vowed to continue fighting for New Jersey parents.
“The woke agenda wielded by Murphy Democrats is a full-scale attack on families,” said Pennacchio (R-26). “State government has a role in all of our lives, but it should be to support our security and freedoms, not to dictate how mothers and fathers raise their children or reprogram the way kids think.”
Pennacchio cautioned parents to be aware of various curriculum changes that are coming soon to school districts.
“Recent legislation specifically targets 4- and 5-year-old children who still believe in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy to remove what the state perceives as their ‘unconscious bias’ so they accept the Administration’s misguided woke policies,” Pennacchio said.
Under the new curriculum, grade school youngsters will be taught about gender confusion, gender identity, cisgender, transgender, and gender nonbinary.
“To satisfy the Administration’s thirst for social engineering, they are committed to stripping little kids of their childhoods,” Pennacchio said. “Schools have enough trouble teaching students about reading, writing and arithmetic. These are age-inappropriate issues that have no place in elementary classrooms and certainly should have parental consent when being addressed.”
To help preserve parental rights, Pennacchio has introduced four bills that will empower mothers and fathers.
- S-1571 – Requires public schools to make curriculum plans available to the public and allow the plans, textbooks and learning material to be inspected and reviewed by the parents and legal guardians of students. [First introduced during the previous legislative session in June 2021 as S-3875]
- S-1570 – Requires boards of education to be more open about their meeting schedules and agendas, mandating them to publicly post full meeting agenda 48 hours prior to meeting.
- S-2385 – Reaffirms parental rights and amends current law to prevent schools from teaching some concepts related to critical race theory (CRT) and various controversial topics to students younger than high school age.
- S-224 – Creates the “Transparency in Government Act. The intent of the bill is to create another layer of transparency, letting parents know exactly how their dollars are spent and where the money is going. It was first introduced by Pennacchio in January 2012..
“Residents will not quietly tolerate government attempts to hijack the minds of their children,” Pennacchio said. “These bills will give some of the power back to the parents, and I encourage my Democrat colleagues to uphold the next generation of New Jerseyans and vote for these pragmatic measures.”
“Parental Rights” is a key component of the Senate Republican #GiveItBack initiative, which provides New Jerseyans an opportunity to tell Governor Murphy to give back everything he has taken from them. Nearly 5,000 people have already told Governor Murphy to “Give It Back” at www.giveitback.us.
video cameras in class rooms. Parents should be able to watch Teachers/groomers to protect their kids.
The Chinese Communist party has targeted our corporate and political class for years in an effort to rot our society from the inside. They have made amazing gains as demonstrated by the otherwise inexplicable actions of our own “representatives” in targeting average Americans (the most tolerant people on the planet) with such derision and venom and treating them like bigoted criminals. They have used the greed and power lust of these leaders to turn on the population. And now they’re coming for your kids. Suicide was a problem in Ridgewood schools in the 1970’s and has gotten worse throughout the county in recent years. Wait until they start haranguing extremely young children with dogma that makes them feel inferior for their immutable characteristics. That is a recipe for disaster and can only be termed child abuse. Paraphrasing Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”, “Hey Murphy, leave those kids alone.”
Yes, since the government has decided to focus on teen suicide, the teen suicide rate has risen!
please tell me that our Ridgewood Schools are not discussing :
“gender confusion, gender identity, cisgender, transgender, and gender nonbinary” with elementary school children.

What’s he talking about?
Who is targeting 4-year-olds?
Bill A4454 is for students in grades 9-12…and students are allowed to “opt out” of classes if the topics are against their moral/religious beliefs.
The other pilot program recently tested in 12 schools (65 schools applied) is for grades 5 and up. This curriculum is to promote tolerance and topics include the treatment of gay people in the Holocaust and the harmful effects of conversation therapy.
I don’t think this senator understands what the word “woke” means.
The Woke community likes to keep their definition vague so they can back-pedal when their handiwork causes disaster, like defunding police which caused the tens of thousands of more murders in the country over the past two years. And always making some reference to nazis while they themselves bully anyone who disagrees with them and fight against transparency in classrooms. We need school choice and an end to the public school monopoly. Over 50K poor kids are on charter school waiting lists in NYC alone.
Just looked at bill A4454. It notes kindergarten through 12. So what are you talking about??? – From bill – As amended, this bill requires school districts to provide instruction on diversity and inclusion in an appropriate place in the curriculum of students in grades kindergarten through 12 as part of the implementation of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards”
Oh if you residents of Ridgewood really knew how evil that school system is, you would be horrified. Lots of Money gets laundered in that Peytons Place.
