JEFF SPICOLI would have been right at home in Ridgewood. The fictional Spicoli went to high school in Southern California in the early 1980s. In “Fast Times at Ridgemont High,” Spicoli was a stoned teen played by Sean Penn with a serious case of the munchies.

  1. If the news networks pick up on this some residents will look like fools. Give it up. Make lunch, buy at school or walk to the deli.

These self-centered parents are spawning self-centered children.

  2. My fav line in that movie was when jeff spicoli said…..’yooooooou d@ck’ to the principal. had to be one of the funniest lines ever.

  3. I stood in the RHS gym one day and heard 2 teachers discussing the children’s behavior, one the athletic director at the time said to a grade administrator’ remember these are brat children of brat parents” well said Dave.

  4. You have to blame the businesses as well and hold them accountable……shop accordingly!

  5. Private sector fulfills needs better than public sector. Always has, always will. So public sector makes regulations. Always has, always will.

  6. Doblin was reaching…..that being said I’m sure there are Latte moms in a lather about the restriction….tough shirt !

  7. #5 did you think that was profound? Kind of golsses over the real issues.

  8. Just another example of how soft this country is becoming. A handful of lazy parents who want private sector lunches for their kids. No to them, No to Valley, no to 4 & 5 story buildings in CBD. How did we allow any of these issues to gain momentum? School security is now so questionable…these deliveries compound this. Yes, I can talk both my middle school kids make their own lunches . Sometimes they even make their beds?

Unfortunately this is the ‘new Resident’ profile. (not all…but way too many)
