Thieves Target GPS devices in Parked Vehicles

Ridgewood NJ, Thieves Target GPS in parked vehicles in Ridgewood , Ridgewood police report that on January 4, 2013 a Ramsey resident reported that while he was at The Valley Hospital he valet parked his vehicle. When he was on his way home he found that his Garmin GPS had been stolen. The matter is under investigation by the Ridgewood Detective Bureau.
And on January 5, 2013 a Shelbourne Terrace resident reported that during the night her vehicle was entered and cash and a GPS were stolen. The matter is under investigation by the Ridgewood Detective Bureau.
Make sure car doors are locked and keep valuables and removable electronic devices out of sight when parking anywhere .
