Paramus NJ, a Clifton man has been arrested in connection with a porch piracy incident in Paramus, and authorities suspect he may be linked to similar package thefts in neighboring areas.
Khaled M. Mansour, 38, was charged with stealing a package from a Paramus home last Thursday. The theft, which occurred before 12:30 p.m., was caught on the homeowner’s CCTV system, showing the suspect leaving the scene in a Ford E-Series van.
Investigation and Arrest
Paramus Police Sgt. Nicholas Luciano noticed a recurring pattern of package thefts across nearby jurisdictions involving the same suspect and vehicle. The investigation led the Paramus Police Criminal Investigation Bureau to collaborate with the Rockland County Intelligence Center, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Intelligence and Counterterrorism Unit, and local law enforcement agencies.
Through this multi-agency effort, Mansour was identified and charged under New Jersey’s 2022 “Porch Pirate Theft” statute. He has been released pending a court hearing.

Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti emphasized the importance of teamwork in solving crimes that span multiple jurisdictions:
“This case highlights the importance of inter-agency cooperation in addressing multi-jurisdictional crimes. The Paramus Police Department Special Investigations Squad continues to work with neighboring agencies on related theft investigations.”

Chief Guidetti also reminded residents to take precautions during the busy holiday season when package thefts tend to rise:

- Request trusted neighbors to collect packages promptly.
