Transformer Malfunction in Glen Rock Sets off Residents Smoke Alarms

Glen Rock NJ , the Glen Rock Police report that on Thursday February 25th  at 2:51 a.m. Glen Rock Police Patrols, along with Glen Rock Fire Fighters, responded to Henry Street on a 9-1-1 report of a utility emergency. A power service voltage interruption caused the activation of residents’ smoke alarms and caused an odor of smoke in some of the homes. PSE&G determined that the source was a malfunctioning transformer which subsequently resulted in a power outage to numerous homes. The matter was turned over to PSE&G for correction.
