Twp of Washington NJ, A Washington Township uniformed patrol officer sustained a non life threatening shoulder injury as a result of a Monday morning, 05/11, collision in which a vehicle backing out of a driveway struck his marked police cruiser. The officer was transported by a Hillsdale BLS ambulance to the Hackensack University Medical Center North campus in nearby Westwood. Due to air bag deployment, the police cruiser, a Ford Explorer, was towed from the scene by a flatbed. Little to no damage was observed on the other vehicle involved. Police at the scene did not indicate whether any summonses were issued in connection with the incident.
