Glen Rock NJ, early Friday December 10th the West Point – The U.S. Military Academy Marathon Team ran through Glen Rock on their trek from West Point to Met-Life Stadium in advance of this Saturday’s Army/Navy game.
The cadets chose to stop at 9/11 Memorials along the route, which included the Glen Rock 9/11 Memorial at Veteran’s Park on Main Street. Thank you to the West Point Cadets for choosing to include and honor Glen Rock’s 9/11 Memorial along their route.
Glen Rock Police offered a shout out to our brothers in blue, many thanks to Hawthorne Police Department, Midland Park Police Department, and Ridgewood Police Department for joining us in welcoming the cadets. And last but certainly not least, thank you to all the residents who showed up and gave them a warm welcome. We are grateful to be able to serve such a great community.
I think they stopped in at 9-11 memorial in Wyckoff too.
Saw them running with the football in the middle of the night on a highway with a five car police escort surrounding them with emergency lights blazing. Had no idea what it was until reading this, thanks James!
