Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information:
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit and the Hackensack Police Department are investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Hackensack Avenue at Terhune Place in Hackensack. The collision resulted in two fatalities. Two vehicles collided, which resulted in the death of the driver of one vehicle and the passenger of the other vehicle. Two other individuals were injured and transported to Hackensack University Medical Center.
The cause of the collision is under investigation, and no additional information will be released at this time.
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the ongoing investigation of a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 6:43 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019. The investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer in Charge Captain Peter Busciglio.
On Saturday, July 6, 2019, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that a collision had occurred on Hackensack Avenue near the intersection with Terhune Place in Hackensack. The two-car collision resulted in the deaths of Diana Pelayo, a 33 year-old female from Bergenfield, NJ and Huishan Li, a 63 year-old female from Palisades Park, NJ. Two other occupants, a 30 year-old female from Fairview, NJ and a 38 year-old male from River Edge, NJ were transported to Hackensack University Medical Center and treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
