Paramus NJ, Federal investigators have finally descended on two state-run veterans homes this week as part of the U.S. government’s investigation into deficiencies in care at the nursing homes that had one of the highest COVID death tolls in the nation.
In New Jersey, more than 8,000 blessed souls died because of Governor Murphy’s Executive Order 103, which was specifically cited by the state’s Health Commissioner when she ordered nursing and veterans’ homes to take in COVID patients. The directors of these long-term care facilities begged the state to reconsider and told them people would die – but the Murphy Administration carelessly plowed ahead.
Investigators from the U.S. Department of Justice interviewed residents and staff at the beginning of the week at the Menlo Park veterans home and Wednesday and Thursday at its sister facility in Paramus.
“The DOJ visited the Menlo Park and Paramus veterans homes in the past week,” US AG Spokesman Leyland Moore wrote in an email. “This visit is part of the normal course of events given their inquiry, and we are doing everything we can to ensure they have the information they need.”
Better late than never.
Vote out Murphy, vote for Jack!
Murphy will try to ignore this although he made the decision that caused this.
