I’m still voting Killion and Shinozuka. I see signs all over town with Aronsohn, Hauck and Pucciarelli. I’ll start listing addresses that match Pro-Valley residents to prove it!!
You can go ahead and try to create an issue here but the math doesn’t follow the emotion. If Hauck, Forenza and Pucciarelli ALL win there are not enough votes to do ANYTHING. Two in favor, two against and one abstention still means NOTHING HAPPENS.
Don’t try to fool people into thinking that they need to be single issue voters in this election. This time we are free to take into account the best people to address ALL the issues in town knowing that the Valley expansion cannot move forward regardless what combination of people wins.
Based on the statements made by these three in particular, they have made the issue as being nothing but about Valley. These three are not the”best people to address ALL the issues in town.” The primary reason they are running is to help Valley…period !
so #2 comment are you suggesting everyone votes for the three you mention? forenza, hauck and puciarelli?
I plan on voting for Killion and Shinizouka but am not sure who I will give my third vote to. Since Mr. P must recuse himself from the Valley issue it might be smart to change up council with two new faces. However it does seem to me the Valley issue continues to be the most significant issue at hand with the most potential to do great harm to our village. The Valley issue cannot and should be ignored.
TYPO
The Valley Issue can not and should NOT be ignored! Can the moderator fix?
There can be no chances taken with this election. Valley will come back to push this renewal through again. We must elect people who are strongly against this current expansion. Unfortunately, compromise will only come when Valley sees they have no other choice.
If 1 or 2 pro-Valley expansion people get in this time, a couple of things can happen. 1) They could possibly persuade the others to their side. Remember, Tom Riche voted yes with the Planning Board and no with the Council. 2) It’s only 2 short years until 2 more seats are up. Valley could actually have all 5 Council members on their side if this election goes their way, or certainly a majority. This needs to stop now, so we can get on with the other issues our town is facing.
Killion, Aronsohn and Shinozuka is the way to go. They will work hard to protect the citizens of Ridgewood on all the issues at hand.
Keep laughing at the “do the math” comment. Based on this assertion Walsh and Riche would be against, Pucarelli must abstain and Hauck and Forenza would be pro. Someone must have forgotten a few things.
First Riche voted for the h-zone as a PB member although it seems the new testimony swayed him to vote no and that is likely where he would stay.
Second, and most astoundingly ignorant, is the failure to consider future elections. As if VC would remain this way forever. Valley seems very “patient” and probably willing to wait our another year to secure a majority.
Vote Killion, Shinozuka and Aronsohn. This is the priority issue.
