Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Fire Chief John Judge has requested that Veterans Field and the surrounding area be properly irrigated several days prior to the fireworks display on July 4th in order to reduce the risk of spot fires (per the International Fire Code New Jersey Edition, section 5608, and NFPA 1123).

But the water restrictions!
Good idea
What’s more important? That everyone in the town has enough water, or a few dumb hicks get burned by their stupid sparklers?
Yeah, why should we care if a fire breaks out on a field full of explosives?
In fact, cancel the fire department if a house fire breaks out. Who cares if some idiot loses their home; I need a green lawn!
If it’s between my lawn and some dumb idiot that burned their house down because they’re a dumb idiot, the choice is obvious. My lawn can’t keep itself green, and you can’t fix stupid.
I guess we can water our lawns on those dates too?
All day
Do what I say not what I do
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.
It’s all bullshit. Let them buy water from another water company. They have hook up”s That they receive water.
Bunch of tools..
The water comes from the HH
brook…
I wonder if I can pump water from the brook to water my garden and lawn
Every action by the town is fodder for the haters
All day, every day. It’s ridiculous.
Great idea. Thank God someone thought about it. Man, what a bunch of haters.
