>The Ridgewood Village Council and the Board of Education jointly authorized a study of all Village Fields and Parks by Schoor DePalma Inc. This project will review all of the active recreation sites as well as conservation areas within Ridgewood. Click below for the survey form. The master plan process will also review all the athletic and recreation programs offered, as well as consider the number of participants. Recommendations about future needs, changes in use and property developments will be forthcoming. 1. >Unless you want soccer fields built at Grove Park and on Lakeview Drive, mark question #2 as “frequently.”

  2. >Hey…there’s a great idea!

Let’s fabricate our answers on this survey, so that the people who are trying to understand the needs and resources available in Ridgewood get bogus data. While we are at it, let’s propose that the Village raise taxes to build locked gates around Grove Park and on Lakeview Drive. That way, only you and your cronies will have access to them. Better yet…let’s propose that all but one of the athletic fields in the Village be converted to duck ponds. That way we can force thousands of boys and girls who play soccer, football, lacrosse & baseball to share one field. Since only about 20 kids can be on a field at the same time (during a game), the kids might have to be limited to one day of sports per week, instead of the 5-6 that we had when we were kids. While we are at it we should ensure that the field is as far away from your house as possible, so you never have to be bothered by the seeing or hearing the kids playiong sports and learning importance of social interaction, that you missed out on.

  3. >Social interaction skills can be learned via venues other than sports. Organized sports isn’t the end all to be all.

  4. >did not miss out on a dam thing.this is about saveing money you jack ass.uppey.

  5. >no one is talking about how much money the town saves on doing composting .well its over a 1.500.mill.and thats all on paper that the town can show any one the real saveings.thankyou.now can 6.ball fields save us that.if so then do it.and show the people on lakeview dr that then we will all shut up.but if you can not go take a walk you bums.

  6. >”importance of social interaction” dont you meqan the importance of getting these kids into a good school? Or are you talking about an ego trip fro the parents?

  7. >you are right on spyderman

  8. >thank you anonymous (10:55 AM) for calling this board’s freaks on their nimby, short-sighted, retro (in a BAD way), self-serving, self-important, love-the-sound-of-their-own voices nonsense. Just once I’d like to see one of this board’s “regulars” make a constructive suggestion or a thoughtful grown-up argument. We have some real challenges in this village. We can solve them, but the juvenile carping and rock-throwing will make it so much harder, more costly and more time consuming.

  9. >you are right.

  10. >i have a new master plan.stay away from lakeview.dr

  11. >Grove Park is under consideration too, isnt it? I notice you dont chime in on that one. Perhaps you dont live there…? BTW, at least that location is true open space… not a private lane, underutilized and hidden away… all of which no one knows about…. until now. Tks, PJ Blogger!

Soccer and football are great fall sports. Get used to seeing them on top of a compost pile near you, Lakeview Threats INC.

  12. >TAKE A WALK YOU DOPE.THE RIDGEWOOD COMPOST SITE SAVES YOU AND I A LOT OF MONEY.AND I DO LIVE ON GROVE ST. SO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.AND WE NEED SOME ONE FROM THE STREET DEPT THAT WORKS AT THAT SITE TO TO TELL US AND SHOW US MORE ABOUT HOW GOOD THIS IS FOR THE TOWN.WE ARE VERY LUCKY TO HAVE THIS.GO TO LAKEVIEW SITE AND SEE FOR YOUR SELF.IT WORKS SO LETS LEVE IT AS IS.NO ONE STILL HAS A CLUE HOW MUCH MONEY IT SAVES.I HEAR IT IS OVER A MILL.DO YOU WONT YOUR TAX,S TO GO UP OR SEE HARD WORKERS GET LAID OFF.I HOPE NOT. HOW COME NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT THE NICE BIG FARM ON HILLCREST.FIX THAT AND PUT MONEY AT THAT PLACE.IT NEEDS IT BAD.THATS WHAT WE GOT IT FOR NEW RECREATION FOR ALL KIDS OF RIDGEWOOD.AND WHO HAS THIS MONEY ANY WAY.WE DONT.NOT FOR THIS.LETS FIX WHAT WE HAVE FIRST.AND THEN LOOK TO SEE IF WE NEED MORE.THE BOTTOM LINE IS LAKEVIEW DR SAVES THE TOWN A LOT SO,LET IT BE IT,S A CLEAN PLACE AND THE PEOPLE ON LAKE,AND HILLCREST, ARE OK. WITH IT.AND LET ME SAY IT IS ONE OF THE NICEST COMPOST AROUND.TRUST ME I,AM IN THE GRASS,CUTTING BIZ.GO LOOK FOR YOUR SELF AND SEE HOW THE WORKERS KEEP THAT PLACE LOOKING SO NICE.LIKE THEY OWN IT.THANK YOU VERY MUCH.LANDWORKERS,ASS.OF BERGEN.INC.

  13. >”I hear it saves over a mil..” gee, where did you hear that? From another blogger? Lets make it $1.5 mil… Wait… lets call it $2mil, just for good measure. Everything is expensive in Ridgewood, might as well include the dead leaves.

Facts, please. Fact is that 99.9% of us residents didnt know this composting site existed. Fact is, we need more fields for the growing school age population. Fact is, you want Grove St or Lakeview as your own secret garden. Fact is, many of us care about young people beyond our own households. I, for one, certainly could care less about saving your business money.

Relax. If its $1mil in annual costs, I’d imagine that someone from the Village government can confirm this??? Or should we take your word for it, given your grass cutting expertise?

As to Hillcrest? We are ALL still waiting for something to happen there. Nice to know that we are ALL financing that debt… and for what? They proposed ONE ball field there. One. Still waiting on even that……..

  14. >yes the town hall has all the info you need.they have the low bid from a few years ago.and yes it is over a mil.and yes you are on the ball with hillcrest, what the hell is going on with that place make it what we got it for new ball fields.and yes you can call up downs tree, comp, and they will tell you how much it would cost if they had to do what the town does, and that number was from 3,years ago.before the gas went up and ins,and so on.call the street dept and they will tell you and any one the numbers.

  15. >and who has the master plan,hummmmmm.

  16. >you bums.

  17. >NO MORE PLAN,S FOR NOW.SO WE WILL SEE YOU FOKS SOME TIME IN 2020.LATTER.

  18. >I TOLD YOU BUMS THEY DONT HAVE NO PLAN.HA,HA,HA,

  19. >no plan at all,just stay a way.
