Ridgewood NJ, at the October 8 Village Council meeting, Village Manager Keith Kazmark publicly stated that only one resident made any inquiry to him (via email) about the Warner Theater project.  We know that Mr Kazmark is a regular reader of THE BLOG, and has even posted on here.  We also know that he is a Facebook addict, posting sometimes multiple times a day. Therefore we QUESTION his statement, as a quick scan of Ridgewood social media shows that tons of residents have posted comments about the theater project – in favor, opposed, questions, all of it.  So, did Mr. Kazmark MISSPEAK when he implied that only one resident had any interest in this expensive project?  Oh, and then he added that “they want to make it controversial on the internet.”   Seriously?

  1. No need to inquire, us minions (taxpayers) have been told the project will benefit everyone.
Please fall in line. The important community people think its a great idea. Just not a great enough idea to back the $250,000 the Village spent for a purchase option.

    1. Only 250,000. They spent close to 400,000 on the ugly pavilion that sits empty

      1. That will be used next year when Stacey starts her summer camps. It was built for that specific purpose. You are just looking at the empty sight at a wrong time.
She helped them funnel 4M in grants money to the Vagiano and friends owned restaurants.
Meals from that 4M dollars were delivered to ‘no where’. Its a payback time.
Don’t forget Kazmark was Vagiano’s campaign manager and he got this 250k job without competitive interviews.

        1. How can people actually be getting away with this. If true it has to be criminal?!? Right?

          1. yes, they are criminals hiding in plain sight and spending tax payer dollars on special interests.

        2. Yes, Stacey Antine is in it 100% with the mayor and the village manager. I hope someone had a higher level takes a deep deep look into how they are miss using grant money

  2. Seems like he’s stressed

    1. Liars usually are

    2. supporting liars and cheaters and compromising your integrity everyday can probably be a heavy load on your emotions. Remember he was a supposed “do good” whistleblower before he sold his soul to Vagianos for $300,000 salary a year. The struggle is real.

  3. Unreal how thin skinned this guy is.

    1. An insecure man who plays a tough guy. Std for the far left. Big bark and no bite.

      1. And no hair. Hahahahahaha

  4. Loathsome

  5. So many people had questions and concerns. FRIDAY FACT: the VM is a liar

    1. Yup – He’s a liar.. and he’s a puppet – the Mayor hired him because he was Mayor’s campaign manager and there was no competitive interview process.

      1. His cousin is Steve Wellinghorst (also the attorney on his whistle blower lawsuit against Elmwood Park) so he is a nepotism plant with great connections to help Vagianos get what he wants. I find it very interesting that he is okay with the village telling residents to vote yes for the open space referendum, which is illegal, they used tax dollars on the mailers and have been promoting this not on social media with the fact fact check. It is such a joke and most of Ridgewood is hoodwinked to believe that these bad actors like the mayor and council, also Keith Kazmark, is so sad.

  6. The Warner theater project will be another boondogle…..the first estimate for renovations is $50 million. they hope to get an 80% grant which means at best case the taxpayers will have to kick in$10 million just for renovations (although no one has mentioned if any plans were made). This doesn’t include the $250,000 non refundable option to buy the property or the cost of buying the building which I believe was $2.5 million. Keep in mind there is no plan on how much the operating costs will be or the expected profit (or most likely loss the taxpayers will be stuck with). This will be another black hole for the taxpayers….

    1. There is no way citizens are spending $10 million to refurbish that theater when we could’ve sold it to another small theater company. At worst, it could be repurposed into another type of legible space as has been done in many other communities.
There will be an outright rebellion if that is the case.

  7. If this is such a great idea and investment, let the mayor and his other real estate buddies buy it ..

    1. Why should Vagianos spend his own money when he can bilk taxpayers out of their money. Vagianos is crazy like a fox and has probably squirreled away most of the $4M from Feed the Frontlines thanks to Healthbarn. He and the other developers are waiting for the ordinance to go through where landlords will be able to expand their property height by building upwards, so he can turn downtown Ridgewood into mini Vegas.

  8. Perfect case of Little man syndrome with too much power !

  9. When can we drink the tap water?

  10. His disrespectful and despicable “because they want to make it controversial on the Internet “ comment will haunt him for the rest of his tenure.

  11. He’s a petty scumbag.

  12. Unhinged.

  13. Kazmark is all the hell over social media today trying to stamp out brush fires. It would be hilarious but for the fact that he is paid mega bucks and is spending his day posting on Facebook

  14. He’s lost it. What a shame.

  15. So we have Whino-o-grad’s FUN FACTS and now Kash-Mark’s FRIDAY FACTS.

  16. Looks like the Village Manager has just established a new column called “Fact Check Friday.“ He really needs to focus on doing his job as opposed to focusing on creating unwarranted controversy on the Internet. Get a life Keith.

    1. Yes he needs to be doing what WE pay him to do and not stroking his own ego

    2. Where can one access Fact Check Friday?

  17. Keith. Just do your job and stop being a social media whore

    1. It’s early yet but I think we have our Post of the Day !

  18. Isn’t the town paying for a communication manager, why is KK on social media so much.

    1. Yup – six fugures! She goes around with Kazmark to take pictures and build his social media profile for his future political ambitions using taxpayer money!

  19. Time to clean house right from the mayor council manager directors don’t trust none of them. Any new directors coming into power should come from the outside. No more in house because we don’t need any more puppets.

  20. So, Mr K, how was your Friday?

  21. Fact check Friday seems like a dangerous door to open, Keith. However, he can then put out all of the propaganda and fake news that this mayor and council is known for and promote all of the false information that they want all the while giving it the appearance of transparency. Why not call it “you’ll have to OPRA that” Thursday. Seems more fitting and would make more sense, because that is really the only way residents will actually find out what is going on in the village.
