Ridgewood NJ, mention was made during Village Council review of the Solid Waste Division’s operating budget of replacing a transferred employee with someone “younger.” Last we heard, employment related age discrimination is still unlawful. Not one member of the Village Council, nor did the Village Manager, blink at that discriminatory remark; not one.
Additionally, it was revealed that a female Village employee’s office is located where she is able to view male employees from the Solid Waste Division disrobing in a nearby locker room. Now there’s a huge lawsuit in the making. And this wasn’t addressed immediately for what reason?
Another gem from the meeting, this comment from the Village Manager during the Street Department’s budget review: “The more trees we plant, the more leaves we have to pick up.” Excuse us? So, should we stop planting trees to save money? Seriously?

We told you more is coming up out under the rug. Oh f’in well. The village is going down. Pay attention for more information to come out of the contamination soil.
More nothing burgers from the wimpy whiner’s brigade.
1. Can a statement of fact be discriminatory? The transferred employee was replaced with someone younger, fact; they weren’t fired because of their age, regardless of their ability to execute their duties (presumably). Call it a faux pas, if you will, but a mistake isn’t the same thing as intent.
2. Stop looking, honey. Can’t control yourself for one minute? If the men were wise, they would have first complained their locker was in view of a woman’s office. But then most men aren’t out looking to offend, or be offended. They’re usually just doing their jobs. But it is a good question. Why didn’t the little trash panda princess say something right away? Instead she sat their and watched men disrobe for days and days and days until she couldn’t take it anymore. The horrors.
3. Leaves! If you had fifteen large oaks on your property — I said fifteen large oaks, count them — you’d understand. Fifteen. Large. Oaks. You come to me when you have fifteen large oaks on your property and talk to me about leaves. Bunch of no leaf having pansies never responsible for a leaf in their life talking out of their you know whats. Fifteen.
Forgot to take your Zoloft this morning?
Can I bum one off you? You wokies seem to have the best meds.
Wait. So you have 15 large oaks on your property? Because you only said it ten times and I am not sure. You must have a lot of money and a spectacular yard.
There is no property in the Village of Ridgewood with 15 large oak trees.
mine has 20
Tell me you’re one of those people on the east side, without telling me you’re one of those people. A little gratitude for subsidizing your kids over there would be nice.
If you do live on the west side, I would lay 2-1 odds you either live directly adjacent to the train tracks and your house rattles 20X a day, or close enough to Kuiken Brothers that you can smell the truck exhaust and lumber residue.
Whatever helps you cope with your inadequacies. It’s healthier than booze and voting Democrat.
Well, that’s so well and good if we have elderly employees or employees that cannot lift that kind of weight anymore. and if there is an opening you transfer them that’s all well. And good. There’s nothing wrong with that .but now you did it for one ,you have to do for others not pick and choose like in the past right, didn’t we just push out an employee in the water department. Wasn’t that individual threatened to be sent for fit for duty, or retire and have other employees been pushed out to retire because of not fit for duty, or employees that have been hurt on the job and they were pushed out for retirement, now the village is in a pickle oh,. how about this? Let’s have the whole workforce go for fit for duty. I bet you 10% will fail, then what. We have quite a few employees that are extremely out of shape. And forget about fit for duty, they wouldn’t pass a physical. How can you if you’re over 100 pounds overweight. I’m not discriminating against anyone but come on, you know who they are. They’re definitely not healthy. And forget about Prozac, or Zoloft, or any other psychotic medication will not help these individuals. What do you think about that. Now the shit‘s gonna hit the fan.
I’m glad we’re on the subject of budgetary, now is the perfect time to disclose all employees that are receiving paid stipends. And what are they being paid for with the taxpayers demand who’s receiving them, why they’re receiving them, and their amount they are receiving. Every time this issue is brought up. It’s kept quiet. I don’t know why. We would like a publicized list. It’s taxpayers money if this is not done in a timely manner, we will notify the state department in Trenton because obviously something is being hidden enough is enough, the public and the employees are quite upset regarding this issue, it’s sneaky and we blame upper management. This list needs to be posted publicly. If not, we will notify the governor’s office. And then they will force you to obey the law.
How about no more big payout for sick time either use it or lose it, I say use it is much better for your health. we have big payouts to give to police when they retire. It’s ridiculous.
Pay it now in overtime or later at the end of their career. Paying either way.
I think you pay it out at a much higher rate later due to promotions, etc. That is why it should be use it or lose tor cap it at like 6 month. Paying people for years of unused sick time is crazy!
Yeah.
MULCH YOUR LEAVES and leave them be. Better all around.
Nice pic…looks like a remake of Lord of the Flies.
We have a director of d p w that. Limps around. He can’t pass the fit exam. 🫣
Stop the stipends
Clean house from a top. All snakes. No back bone.
And the Paterson guy who is running I mean ruing our town. He isn’t used to trees😂
Is the village going to buy the land on rt 17 n, the old nursery.
With what money?
The spent quite a bit on the Healthbarn pavilion.
They sure did. For one particular business. Why?
Probably. We need more sports fields.
No, they would buy that land and put loan income housing there,
They got a bubble size the stipend list. We’ve been requesting this for a numerous amount of time enough is enough. We want to see the roster list now they have it. There should be a roster list on a bulletin board in every department on who’s receiving stipends and why. They’re not showing it to the taxpayers and the employees because they’re hiding something, we feel that the people that are receiving these stipends are not certified for the position that they’re in. What else would it be? Why would they hide it. I think most people will be shocked on who’s receiving them and the amount that they are receiving it’s ridiculous. What a scam.
