Ridgewood NJ, according to Village Manager Keith Kazmark ,despite frigid temperatures our Parks Division began the process of removing down trees from Ho-Ho-Kus Brook and Saddle River yesterday.
Kazmark gave a shout out to the Village Engineering Department and NJ DEP , “Thank you to our Engineering Department for expediting permissions from the NJ DEP. This work effort will take some time, but the upkeep of the banks is underway.”

His True Colors will come out! Dog and pony show for Paulie !
first smart thing the town has done in 40 years
This is a great news! Every bit helps to reduce obstructions. Dredge, build up banks and take out artificial turf fields next.
Well, at least we have a manager that’s getting involved. Next with put him in a salt truck.
There are plenty of trees across the brook or about to fall into the brook, they should use the police drones and go down the Brooks and see what needs to be removed. And yes, the village manager should go into a truck, and the plow truck, and work with all the crews Throughout the Dpw to see what’s really going on .
Don’t be stoopid, water finds its own level.
