Ridgewood Nj, at the September 10 Fields Committee meeting, the representative for the Ridgewood Lacrosse Association, Mr. Lynch, stated the following while he was yelling at Hyun Ju Kwak:

Stand up to the obstructionists. I am going to make sure that my 20 years of connections in this town know who the obstructionists to progress are.
He also used foul language, and when Ms. Kwak suggested that they take this discussion “offline” he angrily retorted that he wanted this on record, and he continued his ranting.
Subsequently NUMEROUS citizens have spoken out about this this threatening talk at the Village Council meeting on September 11 and at the Board of Education meeting on September 12.  In addition, The Blog has learned that letters have been sent to members of the Village Council as well as the Board of Education, all of which expressed outrage.
What has happened since?
1. Councilwoman Winograd, who was at that meeting and did not step in to stop Mr. Lynch’s horrible behavior, defended him saying he was frustrated and he was reacting to a bad “joke” about his last name.  She blamed the victim, and actually anyone who has ever spoken out against artificial turf comes under the heading of his “threats.”
2. Village Manager Keith Kazmark said he really was not in a position to interfere with this verbal bullying and threatening commentary as he was a “guest” at the meeting.
3. Superintendent of Schools Mark Schwarz glossed over it.
4. The Village Council read a proclamation declaring October 2024 as an anti-bullying month, all while turning a blind eye to bullying.
5. No one has heard one word of outrage or apology from any elected official.  Ms. Brogan ?????
The Blog would like to know what – if anything – will be done about this. Will Mr. Lynch be asked to step down?  Will a belated (and thus insincere) apology come from anyone in a position of “authority?”  Will this be swept under the rug (or under the artificial turf?)

  1. The cork popping sports dude went whole hog blaming meeting attendees then suddenly sprung the final leak then lobbed his final accusation at the school Board Member. who was obviously the target of his long winded rant. Prior to that he was accusing others. Muller even jumped in to finger point people out. Don’t kid yourself that this didn’t all start with Winograd who asked the Village Manager to start attending the meetings because misinformaiton was being spread. Another lie. Winograd ttook a word expressed that sent the sports dude ont more of a rant and spun it, so the facts are the fact are the facts. It in no way condones what her ally, Mr. Lynch did and the unprofessional display of immaturity this person chose to exhibit at a public meeting. He is still a bully and his behavior as a trustee of the Lacrosse organization was reprehensible and unacceptable as an esteemed leader in a commmunity that teaches children.

  2. The men at this mtg who sat on their hands and didn’t say a word should be ashamed.

    1. I’m not so sure…she (Kwak) kind of walked into this on her own.

      1. That’s funny but as most people have figure out if they watched the youtube, it is total malarchy. Just listen to this guy accuse her of something she had no knowledge of, after he was going to blame it on other people on the call. What a loser crying baby this guy is and he represents a professional sports organization? Scary. Instead of anti bullying training, maybe an anger management training might be in order for this whiny AH.

        1. That is the world we live in today it’s always someone else’s Fault

          1. Yes, just as Bob. He just might blame you too.

      2. Actually, no

  3. The men AND THE WOMEN who sat on their hands should be ashamed.

  4. Unfortunately when you have people on the council like Mayor Vagianos, Winograd, Weitz and Kamark, busy prioritizing their friendships with the sports organizations , people get bullied and nothing is done about it. It isn’t anything that a month long anti-bullying campaign or recognition will do and it is little comfort to the residents this council should be protecting. It looks good on paper.

  5. “Anti-Bullying Campaign.”

Yeah, let us know how that works out.

There is a way to handle bullies, and it works. But it’s not “nice.”

    But then neither are they.

    1. I’m not against bullying so long as I’m making the threats.

  6. Winograd is a bully herself. So are the others.

    Lynch is the worst
