Ridgewood NJ, in the quest to get more people to park in the Hudson Garage the Village has posted several nifty new signs. During the August 4th Village of Ridgewood Council meeting several avenues were explored in an effort to to better utilize the empty parking garage on Hudson street :
1)Wayfinding Planning and Design Services
2)Two-Wheel Vehicle Parking at Hudson Street Garage
3)Electric Vehicle Parking at Hudson Street Garage
With the contemplation of future lockdowns due to the Delta variant of COVID and the growth of remote work here to stay ,current prospects seem a bit bleak . In fact COVID seems to have ended the entire commuter life style ,which by some estimates was long over due.
Maybe they’re getting their ideas from the same folks who created the tree house debacle.
OTOH, the treehouse didn’t have the problems of this white elephant.
Plenty of street parking. No need to park in that cement bunker.
Better signage, yeah, that’s the ticket! Put some more lipstick on that pig! How about admitting their was no need for this boondoggle!

Wrong! The SOPHISTICATED people will pay to park there (this IS Ridgewood, after all) instead of going to towns where parking is FREE and business is appreciated. And where sharks are not hanging around to put paper on vehicles the second after the allotted time expires.
Wow…now I know what that empty building with the broken elevator is for….Clueless spenders of our resources prove time and again that they have no business being in business. That sucking sound keeps getting louder. We are our own worse enemies. We voted for those who disregarded the will of the majority and as a result, the town has poor leadership, finances, management, and it is our fault.

Yes, the new youth recreation center and gravitational studies institute.
Soon to be the rodent husbandry center.
If they would like individuals to park it’s very easy, make it free. And then maybe a few may utilize the site. But so far it’s one big flop.
