Ridgewood NJ, according to Village Manager Kieth Kazmark the Village has leased two new sanitation trucks .
Kazmark exclaimed on Facebook ,”The calvary has arrived! Two new leased sanitation trucks arrived in Ridgewood on Friday from Cleveland, Ohio. Securing new heavy equipment in this economy remains a challenge for the Village and all municipalities across the country. Thank you to Sean Hamlin and his team for working tirelessly to maintain and rotate our fleet of sanitation and recycling trucks.”

Thank You Lorraine
And how much is this costing the taxpayers to lease a truck, and are we leasing to buy? The village is going to need more than two trucks . and why did this take so long. i’m sure there was sanitation trucks that we could lease or purchase throughout the United States.
What I can understand this who is in charge of fleet service. They should be putting in their budget to replace vehicles, I would like to see fleet services recommendations list of vehicles that should be replaced. That’s their job. So you tell us we are poor performance across-the-board. Embarrassing.
Been saying for a long time, this town is not managed properly. It needs to be managed like a corporate but the guy in charge only knows how to run a fast food place. This is what you get. No planning and playing it by ear.
The recommendation was to actually buy the garbage trucks and I believe Lorraine Reynolds recommended using the funds earmarked for the Schedler project, will may be delayed in getting approved and put the half mil on the much needed garbage trucks. You can thank the Mayor, Paul Vagianos, Siobahn Whinograd, Evan Weitz and Pam Perron for saying no to that. Therefore, we are leasing them, which will cost more in the long run when all is said and done. Just like the $40,000 website which will cost an additional $10K a year, they also forgot to mention that.
But they allocated 350 thousand dollars for a pavilion at Habernickle that will be mostly be used by a business that runs a camp and field trips in the park? Makes no sense!
This what they call public service. It’s also known by its less euphemistic name, corruption.
But hey, the news that Keith Kazmark reached 1000 followers had to come before this. Isn’t this “feat” a given?
#keithkazmark #whatatool
And he is strongly promoting an event center at Habernickle park. Why?
And if it’s about safety why not all the parks?
What’s his interest in just Habernickel park???
Because Healthbarn gives the kids shelter in the house they use to host all of their money making events, so maybe it is taking time away from their ability to generate revenue? Therefore, put a shelter so that Healthbarn can get back to what they are really there for.
Angry useless venting.
You must wait for every communication so that you can find a reason to stay mad. Run for office
It is called staying informed. Go back to sticking your head in the sand.
Yeah
It’s budget season. Look for the announcement of the massive tax hike sometime near the end of February. Normally the council is given several options regarding operating and capital budgets, which equate to a corresponding percentage of a tax increase. I mean let’s stop pretending, taxes always go up, by how much is the question.
These meetings take place in public, but having a sleazy majority like this, they arrive at their decisions before the public portion of the show. Since four members are in lock-step, they can borrow and spend anything on any projects they have agreed on prior to the meeting.
Having said that, it may be insightful listening to them ramble on trying to justify their choices publicly. Their budget passes 4-1 in April. The Village loses.
One last fun point, the municipal hike is in addition to the county hike and the school tax increase. At least budget season concludes well before the November election. I can’t wait to see how that works out for the majority.
And it’s amazing. How much do we spend a year on tracking our vehicles. What a waste of money. And that’s not helping The fleet. we want to game up with that bullshit.
So true, who came up with that, why we spending a ridiculous amount of money, tracking vehicles to know where they are. Is that really necessary. I guess it’s showing that our management team doesn’t really trust their employees. Pretty sad, I wonder if management vehicles are being tracked. Probably not. Through the grapevine we hear that a cost over $10,000 a year on this device. Not to mention what it cost to have it installed in each vehicle. And how much are we saving, yeah we thought so zippo. This is all of smokescreen. This is to follow up people, it’s entrapment, it’s too , micromanage employees, what a shame, I like to make individual who came up with this idea over coffee, or a beer, and laugh right in your face. You come up with a place time and I’ll come and meet you. Because I need a good laugh .
Pam can put together an Excel document to track the vehicles because she was very concerned where Nancy Bigos was going to park the new go buggy she asked for at the budget meeting.
I find this very interesting, how come, we had to go all the way to the middle of the country to find two trucks. Are you telling me that no one in our surrounding area which is the busiest business section of the United States, or if not the world we couldn’t find a few trucks in New Jersey or metropolitan area, or maybe just maybe they didn’t want to sell or deal with the village. Because in the past, not too many people wanted to deal with the villager Ridgewood. The village has a track record. The show to all of us that the village at the end of the day just doesn’t have the clout to purchase a vehicle in a bin area. Especially when the broadcast in their triple bond rating.huh’ Any financial advice will tell you that wow that’s pretty impressive. You should be able to get anything you want. I guess not I think about that.
Oh my God, I gotta buy a new pair of rubber boots the bullshit is getting ridiculous from up top.
Especially from uncle Tom.
Hahaha. Thumbs up babe.
Why are you putting in the thumbs down uncle Tom. You know it’s true.
These two trucks are all well and good. Can someone tell me who’s going to wash them?
They’ll leave them parked by the high school so when it rains they get a thorough flood bathing.
We just had an inspection at the end of the day .on the cleaning off the village fleet. From our investigation from on public roads we have witness vehicles, being filthy and stinky. This is unacceptable
Garbage in, garbage message!!
