DOWNED WIRES & POWER OUTAGES:
Contact PSE&G:
1) by logging in to My Account on www.pseg.com, or
2) texting the word “OUT” to 4PSEG, or
3) calling PSE&G’s Customer Service line at 1-800-436-PSEG.
Stay away from downed wires poles and trees as the presence of electric shock is possible. Even wires that are expected to be dead may still be live.
REMINDERS:
1. Check on friends and neighbors who are elderly or have access or functional needs.
2. Limit driving to only necessary needs and try to stay off the roadways to allow our snow crews the ability to keep the roads clear.
3. Overnight parking will be suspended during the storm.
4. Take breaks when shoveling snow.
5. Make sure fire hydrants are cleaned 3 feet in each direction to ensure firefighters can make connections in the event of a fire.
6. If you lose power, keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed. An unopened refrigerator will keep food cold for approximately 4 hours. A full freezer will keep the temperature for approximately 48 hours.
We will provide important updates as we receive them.
