  1. Highway robbery. We’re never going to pay for this stupid garage. And while we’re at it, let’s let the BOE borrow $70 million, put a new staircase in the library and build a performing arts center. If commuters have to pay this much for parking our property values will tank. If we raise taxes enough to pay for these vanity special interest projects our houses will be all but worthless.

  2. Oh well move out .

  3. We will. Last one out turn off the lights Pauly

  4. Who do you think is going to pay for the parking garage people use it. If you don’t like the town they don’t care go somewhere else. Go to the mall where it’s free parking. But if you want the convenience of a parking spot guarantee pretty much you’ll pay the price in the parking garage walk around the village shop and eat have a drink go home. Yes there’s an a lot of money yes it is but they don’t care They had the opportunity years ago for a contractor to come in build the parking garage for an investment company and they said no to them because they wanted the revenue. It’s all about the revenue.

  5. Village Investor… didn’t the Pike proposal involve managing the garage for 25 years and then turning the structure over to the village for a token amount after that period? was there a previous proposal offering something on the same level?

  6. Yes they did have a few. I believe even Bergen county development offered something like you just said. And they were going to pay for everything. And they still wasn’t happy with that. It comes down to they want full control full power and receive full revenue. You’re going to see 45% of the parking spaces will be utilized by travelers commuters going to New York City or elsewhere. Probably 25% will be shoppers, any other percentage would be visitors visiting all the new apartment buildings family friends etc. Because where else are they going to park. You got it .

  7. Park in Glen Rock for $1k annual non resident parking pass and save $3-400 on the annual train ticket vs Ridgewood

  8. Joe Walker is correct . He

Glen Rock has RIDGEWOOD beat in terms of friendlier
organization to those who come to spend money on
Drugstore Items ,Hair salons and Barbers, small town pizza
operation like John Boy’ , retail stores , Glen Rock Library
like RIDGEWOOD lIbrary also does a great Job.

shoppers parking for 1.5 hours is FREE. !!
