Paramus NJ, construction crews working near an exit ramp off of Route 4 westbound in Paramus on Thursday morning, 08/17, accidentally struck and punctured an unmarked 16 inch water main, which sent water cascading onto Route 4. No injuries were reported in the mishap, but traffic was slowed on Route 4 while crews dealt with the dilemma.
The water main break flooded a section of Paramus Road and closed part of Route 4 Thursday, police said. Paramus police and other emergency responders were at the scene to control traffic and closing an exit ramp. The ramp reopened shortly before 2 p.m .
