To the editor:
With regard to the recent vote by the Ridgewood Village Council to remove Mr. Gabbert from his position, I am shocked and appalled by the behavior of this so called village council supposedly elected to represent the residents of Ridgewood. What happened to getting along and trying to do the best for the residents of the Village of Ridgewood?
Why is Ken Gabbert being removed? Now hear this Village Council: The residents are entitled to know why! Is it because Mayor Aronsohn has a personal vendetta against him? Is it because Mr. Aronsohn voted against the salary increase and is still stewing about it? My opinion of the salary increase is that it was promised to Mr. Gabbert when he was hired.

Mr. Aronsohn is turning Ridgewood into Detroit with all of its problems. Its just a matter of time.
Fabulous letter. I hope she starts going to Council meetings to speak her mind. Nobody says it better.

Gabbert was in over his head and had no clue as to civil service procedure. If he sought legal advice and was misinformed, the labor attorney should go as well. Gabbert was the last choice of the council at that time, and his initial salary was lowballed with a promise of a good pay raise if things went well. He is well connected in the republican party which put him at odds with Paul Aronsohn. It is well known that Keith Killion lost the election because of Gabberts pay raise, if Tom Richie was up for election he would have been sent packing as well. So know Gabbert had no skirt to hide behind ( so to speak). Lets face it you get what you pay for, he was a bargain basement administrator, and he did a bargain basement job, for a bargain basement salary.
You forgot Ridgewood has turned into a bargain basement town.
Why is this the first we have heard of Kira Semler? Where has she been? We need her voice adding to the hue and cry to unseat th emayor

You know it’s funny the last time the pd wanted to hire, Gabbert picked 2 guys and ward picked 2 guys and the 2 gabber picked failed the psych test, says something about Gabberts ability to interview he wanted to control a dept. he knew nothing about.
