Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, a driver unfamiliar with streets leading to and from the Ho-Ho-Kus train station area, made a wrong turn early Tuesday evening, 12/20, and wound up stuck on a pair of active NJ Transit railroad tracks. A towing company employee and NJ Transit Police ESU officers worked in unison to free the struck 4-door sedan, and remove it from the tracks. No injuries were reported in the incident, which delayed most trains scheduled to pass through the Ho-Ho-Kus station by over one (1) hour. Ho-Ho-Kus Police officers were also dispatched to the incident.
How long do you actually drive down railroad tracks b4 you realize your on railroad tracks???
The driver needs to be tested for his/her mental acuity. It’s just nuts to travel that far before realizing you made a ‘wrong turn’.
The driver had an urgent comment to make in Instagram and his/her eyes were not looking at the tracks. In fact the car wouldn’t have stopped until Ridgewood if not for getting stuck.
I didnt know FJB was in town!
Amazing.
Hummmm?
The tracks are probably less bumpy than some of our roads.
Reply of the year!
Very good.
believe it or not, this is not the first time this has happened – although I still think the bus driver on the Graydon beach was even more crazy
A couple of years ago I saw a woman driving in the County Park…right over the bridge near Dunkerhook.
Probably some Gen-Z dope who can’t navigate without be told what to do by their phone’s navigation app which they blindly follow.
Probably some boomer who’s too proud to admit they shouldn’t be driving anymore.
Probably NOT.
