Wyckoff NJ, a 10,000-square-foot retail strip mall located at 403-411 Goffle Road in Wyckoff recently sold for nearly $4.3 million, according to an announcement by real estate services firm Marcus & Millichap in late December.

Details of the Transaction

The buyer, whose identity has not been disclosed, acquired the 34-year-old property that features tenants like JAG-ONE Physical Therapy. The retail strip underwent significant renovations in 2020, making it an attractive investment.

Previously owned by Parsippany-based 403 Goffle Partners, the property was purchased for $2 million in October 2018 from the estate of Wyckoff-based Mary Miller, according to public records.

Strong Demand for Bergen County Retail Properties

“Bergen County strip centers usually don’t hit the market often, but when they do, there’s usually a tremendous amount of interest,” said Alan Cafiero, Marcus & Millichap’s senior managing director.

This sale reflects the high demand for retail spaces in the region, driven by its strategic location and strong tenant mix.

A Look at Other Retail Transactions in Bergen County

Wyckoff’s retail strip mall is not the only noteworthy sale in Bergen County. In the summer of 2024, a major retail center in Paramus—Paramus Plaza at 545 Route 17 South—was sold for $36.8 million.

The property, brokered by Cushman & Wakefield, spans 153,494 square feet and includes prominent tenants like Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, Ashley, Skechers, and Chipotle.

What’s Next for Bergen County Retail?

As one of New Jersey’s most desirable retail hubs, Bergen County continues to attract investors seeking opportunities in both established and renovated commercial spaces. With its consistent demand and prime locations, retail properties like the Wyckoff strip mall and Paramus Plaza demonstrate the ongoing strength of the local commercial real estate market.
