ZOMBIE WEDDING, a new interactive comedy will invade the Elks Club in Ridgewood, NJ for two performances on June 20 and 28.
The show is written by Greg D’Alessandro and produced by producer is Joe Corcoran, who originally presented the granddaddy of all interactive comedies, “Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding,” which is the longest running comedy in Off-Broadway history.
“It’s kind of like ‘Walking Dead’ meets ‘Tony n’ Tina’ with a dance party atmosphere,” D’Alessandro explained.
The show is set just after the zombie apocalypse in America and follows the hilarious marriage of a human bride to a zombie groom. During the reception, the living mingle with undead, leading to a series of outrageous events. Luckily, there is a Zombie Task Force on hand to keep things under control. Or at least they try!
Audience members are encouraged to where their zombie finest to the event, which features plenty of interaction with both humans and zombies. The evening includes dancing (including the Thriller dance), snacks and a cash bar.
Performances will be held on Saturday, June 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 28 at 6 p.m. at the Jolly Roger Lounge, located in the Elks Club at 111 N. Maple Street, Ridgewood, NJ. Tickets are $20 and are available by calling 800-838-3006 or online at brownpapertickets.com.
