Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police, Fire Department , and Emergency Services personnel responded to assist at a medical transport helicopter landing on Wednesday, 12/13 at Veterans Field, 131 North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood. The transport involved a patient outbound from The Valley Hospital to an out of state facility.
Was this an emergency or just an ordinary transfer? if just a transfer, an ambulance could have transported him/her much more cheaply. And that wouldn’t have cost Ridgewood all those extra dollars. Yes, I know they would all have been paid the same amount anyway–but they were certainly not helping Ridgewood in any way by being there.
