Ridgewood NJ, please join us for our annual flag raising ceremony in Wilsey Square at 9am on Monday, July 4th followed by parade beginning at 10am.
The theme of this year’s celebration is:
“Let Freedom Ring”
This year as we celebrate the history of our great nation, we want to highlight the importance of freedom for all. “Let Freedom Ring” is defined as “A statement that the ideals of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness should be spread across the Earth and allowed to flourish.”
Flag Raising
Wilsey Square – 9AM
The annual flag raising in Wilsey Square starts The Ridgewood Fourth of July Celebration off in true patriotic style. The event includes a short program based on the theme of each year’s parade and a traditional flag raising. Throughout the history of the celebration the parade and firework portions have on occasion been forgone due to funding or security concerns however the flag raising has occurred without interruption since the start of the committee in 1910. This year join your fellow patriots in the longest continually celebrated tradition in the history of The Ridgewood Fourth of July Celebration.
Parade – 10AM
Please join the Ridgewood Fourth of July Celebration, Inc. for our 112th Annual Celebration and Parade on Monday, July 4, 2022. Parade begins 10:00am.
Evening Entertainment & Fireworks 2022
We are hard at work planning to bring back Ridgewood’s great fireworks show for 2022! The best way to ensure we continue our great tradition is to make a donation! The entire day’s events including bands, fireworks, security costs, etc. are funded entirely by private donations and firework ticket sales. Gates Open Monday, July 4 at 6:00 pm – Veterans Field (Rain Date- Tuesday, July 5, 2022)
Hopefully by then maybe they will have the streets clean. Because how they look today is Unacceptable. And what is going on with the Grass collection pickup. The crews are working like it’s 1960 . My o my .
lets see if they dont start putting out the chairs 2 weeks in advance
I adore the tradition of chairs 🪑 on the parade route!!!
I hope they have Patriot music before the fireworks.
