If you are a hardcore, dedicated gamer, you are used to the markets promising the upcoming year to be the biggest and best for the gaming industry. Each New Year no doubt brings about many memorable titles, great characters, and unforgettable lines, but how many times has the gaming industry been altered?
Besides the induction of new consoles or more online subscription options, it honestly doesn’t seem like there are a lot of changes. Well, 2022 stands to be the real to see real changes in the gaming industry.
And yes, it is the previous induction of new consoles that is a big part of this. That said, 2017 was probably the last time the gaming industry has seen real changes with releases like Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Horizon Zero Dawn, Persona 5, Resident Evil 7, and Nier: Automata.
Well, prepared to be shocked again in 2022! Here’s what the future holds!
A Saints Row Reboot!
Saints Row is going to be available across all platforms and it stands to change everything. Although fans are already a bit down about the few month’s delay, this has become a commonality in the gaming industry. That said, Saints Row will be well worth the delay.
And this is because it is not just another entry in the off-the-wall action that users are familiar with. It is an honest-to-God reboot. It follows the original blueprint. It has been said that there will still be some combination of the alien-fighting and use of phallic objects, but the game is set to focus back more on grounded, serious gangland warfare.
It will be a slight blend of the two and an excellent way to will away the time until the drop of the new GTA.
Forspoken
If Square Enix should be known for anything, it is its excellent creation of role-playing games. Maybe you’ve heard of the Final Fantasy franchise? Although Forspoken is set to only drop on PS5 and PC, it certainly has generated quite a buzz and has fans talking.
When news first hit the streets, the game was known as Project Athia, but has since been changed to Forspoken. It also seems that players are now known to take on the role of Frey Holland, a young New Yorker with a mystery set of abilities and a magical background. Her powers have been gifted to her to assist in something known as the thrilling. It’s like an otherworldly coming-of-age test that she must overcome.
There are still a lot of unknowns surrounding the game, but where Square Enix is involved, there is usually magic, excellent combat, and breath-taking scenery. Some players have also taken to playing สล็อตแตกง่าย ฝากถอน ไม่มีขั้นต่ำ in their downtime.
Starfield
With Elder Scrolls and Fallout on their hands, one might assume that Bethesda has already taken on too much. Well, this assumption would be wrong, as the gaming giant welcomes the challenge. They are ready to prove that they are more than up to it with the release of this new RPG, Starfield.
And if it holds to Bethesda’s tradition, it will be extremely expansive with near never-ending tasks for players to undertake. The big difference in this one will be that players will be building an all-new world amongst the stars rather than the Khajiits.
Exploration has always proven to be a big theme with Bethesda and in the trailer released along with Starfield, there will be plenty of exploring available. Not much is known about the gameplay, but the trailer shows an astronaut boarding his rocket, looking to venture into the final frontier.
Breath Of The Wild 2
Speaking of Breath of the Wild, it seems that the sequel is on the horizon and fans hope that many unknowns will be answered. With everything considered, it is easy to understand how and why this title won the most anticipated game in 2021. The first installment made history and there is no question about it that the sequel will do that too.
Unfortunately, there is so little known and so few snippets that much can’t be said about anything in the gameplay as of yet. All that is really known is that it is set to be a direct sequel, picking right up where the game previously left off. It’ll no doubt have that same Link and Zelda story.
With that in mind, there are two small trailers available that show what seems to be a bit of a darker theme. It will be exciting ad potentially groundbreaking to see where the creators take this theme.
