Teaneck NJ, A celebratory Independence Day weekend nearly turned tragic on Saturday, July 4, if not for the heroic and coordinated actions of local lifeguards and emergency personnel.
Around 5:23 p.m., a 66-year-old man suffered a sudden medical episode while swimming at the Teaneck Community Pool. The medical emergency left him completely unresponsive in the water. Fortunately, safety protocols were initiated within seconds.
