We should implement same rules as private organizations for salary, vacation time, benefits and pension.
Village employees now get salary that’s equivalent to private organizations, but vacation, benefits and pension is twice or more compared to what we ourselves are making at our private jobs.
We should not be forced to pay more than what we make ourselves to our village employees.
Start with the schools and clear out the numb-skulls who only show up to get their paycheck. The excellent teachers are being placed in the same basket of the union thugs who complain about 6-figure salaries and platinum benefits.
Why do they get platinum health insurance when most private sector plans are bronze level coverage? If you want it, pay much higher premiums. Why should Villagers be subsidising better health care coverage for Village and BOE employees than our own family coverage? Makes no sense:
Years ago, a government job used to pay below the public sector, but in exchange for that, employees would have job security(even lazy non-performers), pensions, and reasonable medical benefits. It was a good gig for those without motivation and skills. Thanks to their imposter (Obama) they were exempted from the ObamaCare disaster that those of us in the private sector have been screwed with (double premiums, half the benefits, increased deductibles) The unions are milking the taxpayers dry here, but since they own the Democrats who run the state, don’t expect a change. The sad thing is the pigs feeding at the trough then move to low tax states after retiring, still sucking their pension money from the NJ taxpayers budget, along with their platinum life time health care. Will the last person left in NJ please turn out the lights.
