Ridgewood NJ, a large shade tree on West End Avenue in Ridgewood was knocked down early Thursday afternoon, September 5, after a box truck crashed into it. While no injuries were reported, the incident caused a disruption to electric service in the area due to the fallen tree.
The driver of the box truck, whose windshield was shattered in the accident, requested a tow truck from his company. Both Ridgewood Police Department and Ridgewood Fire Department responded to the scene to manage the situation.
Utility providers worked to restore power, and the area was cleared for safe passage.

It must have been a pretty sturdy box truck or a tree in very poor condition. I bet the latter.
