Ridgewood NJ, a large shade tree on West End Avenue in Ridgewood was knocked down early Thursday afternoon, September 5, after a box truck crashed into it. While no injuries were reported, the incident caused a disruption to electric service in the area due to the fallen tree.
The driver of the box truck, whose windshield was shattered in the accident, requested a tow truck from his company. Both Ridgewood Police Department ย and Ridgewood Fire Departmentย responded to the scene to manage the situation.
Utility providers worked to restore power, and the area was cleared for safe passage.

It must have been a pretty sturdy box truck or a tree in very poor condition. I bet the latter.
